She melted against the wall, making a small whimpering moan into Vetis’ mouth as her eyes fluttered closed. Her hands twitched at her side, tempted to just wrap them around the others neck and pull her in close, never let her go. But every fiber of her being was conflicted. Telling her this was wrong, even if she wanted it to be right. Breathing hard, she let out a small gasp when the demon pulled back, looking into the brown eyes of her ‘meat suit’ when they faded from black.

“Ever consider that it was you I loved? Not the power? Yes, you interested me, but freakin’ hell Vetis, there are people who don’t want power. I may be human but we’re not all the same…” she let out an exasperated sigh as she slowly moved closer to the demon, really just wanting her out of the house, and at the same time in her bedroom naked.

“I know you love me,” she said, waving it off, just stating the fact. Nothing had changed on that front as far as Vetis was concerned. They were still in love, this was just a minor set back until Claire came round to her style of thinking. She stroked a hand through her lovers pink hair, smiling softly as Claire edged closer. She wasn’t sure whether the movement was unconcious or not, but she’d take it.

“But you can’t lie to me beautiful, you do want power,” she whispered, leaning in and pressing her lips to Claire’s throat, “You want to make those angels pay for what they did to your family, what they put you through when you were younger. And you should want it. I can help you, baby, you know I can. I want to,” she breathed deep, her hand sliding over the gentle slope of Claire’s chest, “Be me and you again, like it was always meant to be.”

jimmyslittleangel:

“I know what I’m saying. I don’t want power, Vetis.” Though her voice was getting weaker with the passing moments, only a little surprised when she found herself pinned to the wall, staring into the demons black eyes, her own unfaltering in their gaze. “I can’t be like you…” she whispered, looking away with some shame. Swallowing hard, she took a deep breath, trying to pull herself together, though her heart wanted her to fling herself into the others arms. She could not just ignore months of a relationship they had built…

But it had been built on lies.

She froze when the others lips found hers, looking back at her ex-girlfriend in some surprise. Making a small distressed sound, she was torn, wanting to press into it and shove her away. And in someways she did both, pushing at her but following along.

Tugging the other to her, Vetis parted her lips, hands curling in Claire’s shirt as she licked into her mouth, eyes sliding shut at the familiar feel. Kissing Claire, being near to her, breathing the same air as her was everything to Vetis. And she was damned even more then she already was if some ridiculous human fantasy of her lovers to be normal was going to get in the way.

“Everyone wants power, Claire,” she muttered as she pulled back, thumb brushing over the other womans lower lip, her eyes fading back to brown, “Even you, deep deep down, it’s why you were drawn to me in the first place,” Vetis smirked, backing away from her and walking into the house a little further, dropping down onto a settee, ”It’s why you’re not throwing me out now. Because you’ve tasted power, tasted me, and you love it.”

“It’s how I lived all my life Claire,” Vetis said quietly, feeling the same odd cold sensation in her borrowed body she had felt the night Claire had ran, leaving her locked inside salt lines, “I can’t just snap out of being a demon. It’s a deep a part of me as being a vessel is to you. That’s something neither of us can change.”

“Like you said, the angel has his vessel. Your father wouldn’t let you say yes anyway so how would being a demon be so bad? You could protect your family, no demon would attack them ever again. You’d be safe, and loved, and free of all of heaven’s crap and demands,” She stepped closer and let her nose brush over Claire’s, “I know you’ve missed me, missed us.”

“Yes, but you’re asking me to get over a lifetime of instinct that’s telling me that this is wrong. That…that you’re wrong. I can’t become like you Vetis. Not after seeing what you, and other demons are capable of. Other’s have nearly killed me, and my family…I can’t accept that…” she shakes her head. “I’m not a hunter, I’m not an angel, and I’m not a demon…I’m just a girl who’s a vessel, who wants to be a normal girl. To go to school and not have to look over my shoulder because some demon wants me for whatever purpose.”

Crossing her arms over her chest, she finally looked away. Her own feelings were confusing her since she did love Vetis. Had for some time. But every part of her screamed at her that Vetis was a demon. That she should be spraying her with holy water. Not standing here wishing she could kiss the damned woman.

“Claire, do you even know what you’re saying?” Vetis asked, losing her patience and backing Claire against the wall, bracketing her in with her arms at either side of her head, “people like us, involved in all this, we’re in the bigger picture here, baby. You’re never gonna be normal, it’s just a fact of life,” She moved one hand to Claire’s shoulder and stroked down, fingers trailing over the front of her shirt, over her breasts, “but with me, you can be powerful, without the angels.”

Leaning forward she pressed her lips against Claire’s, knowing that eventually she’d be pushed away, but unable to stop herself from taking at least one kiss.

jimmyslittleangel:

It only comforted her a little to know that the poor soul which had been locked away within that vessel had moved on. Though it was a little morbid to think that Vetis was the only thing keeping that body…’alive’. But if she remembered right, this was not the first case of an angel, or demon keeping their host body alive.

“For one your entire purpose…I cannot sit back and be with you if you’re going to harm other humans Vetis…I just cannot live with that on my conscious…” she shook her head, sighing. “I love you…but you could endanger me, and my family…” chewing on her lip, she tried to look away, but the demons eyes compelled her to stay focused on the others face.

“Can we even make this work, Vetis…? I’m Castiel’s vessel…though back up, since he’s now in some replica of my Father’s body, I’m still a vessel to an angel…even more so, your…family wants me to become like you. And I can’t let that happen.”

That’s something neither of us can change.”

jimmyslittleangel:

Her cheeks pinkened at the touch, trying to hold back the need to lean into it, or how Vetis just batting her eyelashes at her make her weak in the knees. “I want to trust you, but how can I…? I’m a vessel, you’re a demon and…you’re ‘family’ made it clear that they still wanted you to turn me…” she swallowed hard. “Even then, I’m still a human…” she looked her firmly in the eyes, trying to pull together all her strength. She was raised to be strong, to face her fear head on. She had been in this world since her early teens.

She could do this. “And I can’t go back to what it was, Vetis. I saw your eyes…no human can do that. It’s purely all on you. Though I have to ask…how long have…how long have you been inside the poor girl…?” she gestured to the demons ‘meat suit’. “Is she even alive in there…?”

Vetis allowed herself a small smile of victory at the flush on Claire’s face, “You can’t trust me. I get that,” she said quietly, calmly, “But you heard what my family said. They’d have killed me if I didn’t try to turn you,” she looked into Claire’s eyes, allowing them to blink black, “So I was honest. I let you go ahead with your tests and I admitted what I was when you asked.”

“This girl… She was mostly dead when I took her over,” She admitted, feeling no remorse, “She didn’t survive past the first week. And I’ve been in her a long time now. I let her soul leave, isn’t that enough?”

“I don’t want to go back. I want to go forward,” She moved closer and took Claire’s hand, keeping her coal eyes on the others, her movements slow, almost hypnotic, “What’s so bad about being a demon?”
